The best place to stay at, with a few people sharing would be the three queens. It's like £55 a night for a standard room which are perfectly ok rooms - if this is a bit steep i will add some alternative locations. You can get the room rate prices here. I am tempted to ask the owner if some people can actually crash at the place, because the location is perfect for the train station being literally just up the road a simply 2 minute walk.
